Can I avoid having to specify a Thumb image. I would prefer just a text link instead.

Adding Thumb Image is mandatory in our component. Anyhow, you have option to remove the Images using the Custom CSS option available with our component.

I guess, you like to build a Menu formatted text links targeted to the Category or Video Pages. Kindly get us more detail. Providing more detail on your requirement will help us to provide the closest solution...

Yeah, I'd really prefer not to have to add a thumbnail every time I add a video.

How about in the absence of a specified thumbnail, it uses just a default image. For the default image, you could just use some generic video graphic. Or if you really wanted to get fancy, you could have them specify the default image in the configuration area.

We would like this as well. Very inconvenient for clients to have to make and upload a thumbnail everytime they add a video.

Yes, we have planned to add an Auto Thumbnail feature. But, you should have FFMPEG installed in your server to use it...
