ACL in categories? was created by Kenneth Fribert

It seems that currently the component doesn't support it, but is it the development plans to set up ACL control on categories? Or video types?
Ie. I have some locally stored videos that I only want our members to drain our bandwidth with.
Best regards

We are not implementing the full functionality of ACL in our next version.

But, it will be having option to access control your videos & categories between 2 user levels like Guest and Registered.

Please be patience till this month end.

I will look forward to a fuller ACL implementation, as we have a level above registered (club member), and I need to differentiate on that level.
Thankyou for the info!

Hi I am really happy with the way AVS works and I am considering buying a license. However the only limitation I have found is that if I want to create a category where only super users can publish (and see in the drop downs) I am unable to do so. What I am trying to achieve is have two sections (modules) on my site's front-end for AVS, one called i.e. "Site Videos" where only the admins can see and publish to... and another section i.e "Community Vids" where the registered users will be able to select and post to. is this possible or are there any plans to implement in the near future?
thanks in advance !

This could be achieved by ACL integration in AVS.

We have also plan to implement the full support for ACL. But, this option is not scheduled for our next release itself. So, you will have to wait for sometimes...
