I am new at All Video Player. It is great so far.
I have studied AVP last 3 days, and I think I got all majority functions clear.
Since I see a lot of people has problems understanding Custom Player Page URL, like me too, I would like to make my recapitulation of understanding how it works. That way I would know if I understand it well and my post would help other users understand it better, or easier. So..
Please correct me if I am wrong: - There are two major ways displaying videos thumbnails and determining the player which is responsible for their playing:
- First one is assigning component to menu item and showing all wanted/latest/popular/featured/random videos thumbnails - those would be handled by component player if clicked (
www.site.com/assigned-menu-item/video/name-of-the-video
). We can put some Gallery Modules on that assigned menu item, and videos from it would be played in component player as well, with no need to do extra settings.
-Second one is making whole page of modules (player and galleries), and setting videos from Gallery Module to be played on Player module (by adding player's module URL in Custom Player URL in Gallery Module backend). In this way: videos will be played on Player Module on same page with adding slg=xxxxxxxxxxxxx&orderby=yyyyyyyyyyyy on the end of URL?
From SEO corner:
If we look from SEO corner, my opinion is that is better to use first way, because every video has its own page with clear URL, and in other way all videos open in same page. - Correct me please.
