I was wondering, now it's kinda difficult for noobs to upload a movie in the frontend.

Could you make a easy upload like only:

Upload movie

File: (upload button)
or: youtube link:

Upload now!

If you could make that, and for a module position also It would be so great!!

Do you feel the TYPE select box is hard to understand ?

No that isn't difficult, But I ment that users will use the upload much more if it was simply to use, just not to many option and only choose file/link and upload (and maybe a module position?)
