ALL VIDEO SHARE

Hi

I installed the allvideoshare, everything works fine, except when playing the video it plays only the sound but does NOT show the video itself. (black screen)

I uploaded mp4 videos and the video itself is okay because when I downloaded them back and they were playing okay from my local PC.

There are certain limitations to play the videos in websites. We use Flash to play your videos and flash doesn't support all type of Video codecs. So, we will have to re-encode them in some cases. So, Just re-encode your video using Handbrake and try using the encoded video file.

Using Handbrake to encode your videos :

Kindly use the default Profile but remember to Check the small Web optimized box from the Handbrake Tool. It ensures the metadata of your video is written at the start, so Flash can swiftly see its duration and dimensions.

Recommended output format is M4V or MP4.

The (re-encoding) advise helped.

I converted the videos from (MP4 - MPEG4) to (H264 - AVC - MPEG4) using Allok Video converter and it is now okay.

Indeed, the codec te create MP4's need to support display in Flash; How to set this default on my camera or phone - something to dig into.

This is a nice component, but I don't know how to make it work in IE10 under Windows 8, I'm still getting NetStream.Play.StreamNotFound message.

I've used HandBrake as suggested to encode the videos, but not a chance. It works fine in Chrome, Firefox, but in IE10 it doesn't.

Any suggestions?
